Roberta Latilla – Early Childhood Lead Teacher and Nursery Homeroom Teacher

My name is Roberta. I am the Nursery class teacher. I have been teaching for over twenty-five years, in primary, kindergarten and nursery schools. My teaching methodology is based on independence, autonomy and respect for the natural physical, psychological and social development of the child. I have been working at Viterbo International School for four years.

My colleagues have been very welcoming since the first day I’ve worked here and they’ve helped me gradually understand the school’s international-mindedness. I am at present completing a Masters in psychomotricity: development of the personality as a combination of the body, mind and emotions during the different stages of growth and life.

I firmly believe that as a teacher you have to excite and be excited. The child is a hope and a promise for humanity. I live in a charming village in the outskirts of Viterbo, rich in woods, chestnut trees, history, culture and traditions. In my free time I like to be with my friends, read and take care of my four beloved cats.
