My name is Giulio Gianlorenzo, and I joined VIS several years ago as a karate instructor for the After School Activities Programme (ASAP). Subsequently, I taught Physical Education while Ms. Roksana during her maternity leave. This possibility was when I had to complete my internship for the Physical Education teaching certificate. I welcomed it with enthusiasm and I felt a high level of responsibility. In addition to this being an extraordinary educational experience for me from a teaching perspective it was equally formative from a human standpoint and I thoroughly enjoyed being a VIS faculty member.
As mentioned earlier, my first teaching experiences with children began when I obtained my karate instructor diploma in 2011. My teaching experiences, as well as my role as a child tutor, are not limited to the professional context, as I was a scout for about 14 years, and, as is customary in these environments, it is very often the older scouts who take care of carrying out the activities planned for the children. Now, within VIS, I have duties of a different nature compared to those through which the children got to know me; the time I spend with them has slightly decreased, but our relationship has remained the same.
