My name is Cindy Laze, and for the past year, I have been part of Viterbo International School, working as an educator in the Spring class. I have nine years of experience working with early childhood programs in both public schools and educational cooperatives. I hold a degree in Humanities and Modern Philology from the University of Tuscia, and I have completed several master’s programs in socio-literary and historical-geographical disciplines, pedagogy, and teaching methodology. I have also attended a course in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) and completed various professional development programs in the educational and pedagogical fields. Born and raised in Italy with Balkan origins, I live in Vasanello, a lovely town near Viterbo. I am deeply attached to my parents, family, and partner. I love dogs, especially my two, Rose and Dorothy. I enjoy spending my free time with friends and traveling, every year, I make sure to explore a new destination. For me, teaching is much more than a profession; it is a lifelong passion, passed down through my family. I also love expressing myself through music, dance, and various forms of creativity. My goal as an educator is to create a safe and nurturing learning environment. For the past 16 years, I have been teaching dance and enthusiastically managing my own association. Each performance is a project I personally oversee in every detail: from the music selection to the choreography, set design, costumes, and the overall event organization. As an educator, I believe that every learning journey begins with the heart. Through empathy and active listening, we build trusting relationships that foster personal growth. I support the international school system because it provides the ideal environment to nurture respect, openness to the world, independence, and curiosity.
