Fondata nel 2010, la St. Thomas’s International School è cresciuta ogni anno e ora offre un’istruzione internazionale per bambini dai due ai quattordici anni. La scuola si trova in una posizione tranquilla, immersa nel verde ma all’interno del centro storico di Viterbo. Probabilmente una delle poche scuole al mondo ad avere una magnifica cinta muraria medievale come confine e viste spettacolari sul Lazio verso la costa. L’antica città di Viterbo, con la sua lunga storia e la sua orgogliosa cultura, fanno parte del tessuto stesso della scuola. Drop Everything And Read (DEAR) – Book Week 2022
Learning at St. Thomas’s is student centred, personalised, exciting and challenging. Our curriculum programmes uncover significant, relevant and engaging topics. Learning is framed conceptually and seeks connections between subject disciplines in order to deepen and enrich understanding. We focus on the development of critical and creative thinking through collaboration, trips, guest speakers, projects and exhibitions. The main language of instruction at St. Thomas’s is English and all students receive Italian language lessons. Our families recognise the critical importance for their children to have an education that enables them to become proficient English language communicators and develop an internationally-minded approach in their learning and for their future opportunities.

In August 2020 St. Thomas’s International School started a process to become authorised by the International Baccalaureate (IB) to facilitate the Primary Years Programme from Early Years through Primary. This is a very exciting time to be learning, teaching and involved as a student, teacher or parent. We hope that by the end of 2022 we will be an authorised International Baccalaureate international school.
St. Thomas’s International School’s success is because of the expertise, professional passion and vast experience of our teachers. We believe that the environment is a third teacher and students at St. Thomas’s are immersed in a beautiful and historical building surrounded by rose gardens, olive trees, vineyards and fruit trees. The parent community of St. Thomas’s has collaborated with us to develop the campus experience to include a kitchen garden, covered gazebo area with herb garden and a calm library perfect for choosing and losing oneself in a book. The collaboration between leadership, teachers, students and families is at the heart of our approach.
