My name is Roksana Yordanova and I am the Early Childhood, Primary and Middle School Physical Education Teacher. I was born and grew up in Bulgaria (Sofia). I was a professional basketball player and I played in Israel and Ukraine before I came to Italy in 2008. In Italy I played A2 in Alghero, Orvieto, Selargius and Viterbo. In my last season as a player, with the Ants Viterbo team we were promoted to A2. I was also captain of the Bulgarian senior national team, where I played more than 50 games. I have a degree in “Basketball Coach” and specialisation in “Physical Education Teacher”. I have been teaching physical education in elementary and middle schools and I hold mini-basketball courses. This is my fourth year at Viterbo International School and as we continue to improve the sports facilities and resources as well as make competition connections with the international schools in Rome through the Rome International Schools Association (RISA), the future looks bright for the VIS LIONS!
